Hi there! I’m glad you came to visit. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a 30 something year old who is completely smitten with tea, all things English, cooking, home making, and living life with purpose. I have been married for 11 years and have a 9-year-old girl and an orange Maine Coon mix vegetarian cat, who swears he is human. I am a classically trained chef by trade but no longer cook anywhere outside of my kitchen or my small tea catering business. My days are spent at home, where I homeschool my girl, where we bake endless amounts of bread and cakes, and cook enough food to feed an army. On any given day, you will find me with a can of paint and brush in hand, crocheting, sewing, hunting for treasures at the local thrift stores, or having (anytime) afternoon tea (parties) with my daughter, husband, and friends… but enough about me! Let me tell you about this blog!
My love for tea and ALL THINGS English started after a friend and I took afternoon tea at quaint English tea room a few years back. I had tea many times before, but something about that visit just hit me like a train. I fell deep and hard. Since, I have adopted many a tea pot, tea cups, and other pieces of vintage china. I am known by my friends and family as the “Tea Lady” and there isn’t a day that goes by that I am not thinking, dreaming, or talking tea. I decided to write this blog to document my recipes, home and craft projects, and memories of times shared with friends and family. Tea is one of life’s simple pleasures that is best enjoyed with loved ones and friends. So, go get your kettle on, brew yourself a nice cuppa and “sit a spell” (linger for a while).
Don’t be a stranger, leave me a comment or send me a message. I’d love to get to know you too!
